Women’s Care Ministry
Coordinating Available Resources for Evangelism and Encouragement. Our purpose statement would be:We the women of First Missionary Baptist Church want to work together as one organism to evangelize and encourage other women. We want to glorify God’s work by working harmoniously together to build up His kingdom. As a care leader, we must have a heart for God, and our lives must be centered around God and His will for our lives.
- We will establish God’s Word in our lives by having daily devotions.
- We will pray for our church, its leaders, and its ministries.
- We will have a teachable spirit and be willing to take criticism.
- We will serve others by appreciating and supporting others’ suggestions, knowing that by doing this, it will motivate them to use their strengths.
- We will delegate to others when necessary, and we will be realistic about our own limitations.
- We will keep in check unloving attitudes such as jealousy, envy, and pride.
- We will respect, cooperate, and submit to those who are in authority over us.
As care leaders, we will avoid these bad habits because they lessen our effectiveness to lead: compulsive talking, Habitual lateness, Critical spirit, Pettiness—seeing molehills as mountains, lack of emotional control, strong individualism which stifles teamwork, laziness, poor time, management, and priorities.
